Pre-holiday

Weekend just passed and tml is public holiday again...shiok sia...Today went back to office to prepare for a few bug fixes to be tested on the client's environment...When almost done that time, Mr Yeo called me to inform me that the client is experiencing close wait again...Kaoz...even server also got pre-holiday syndrome sia...So, I quickly finished up my stuff and make my way down...juz to find out the close wait is not caused by us. That kan cheong spider juz anyhow scream fire...kaoz...Just before lunch, I saw the other vendor. They seldom come down unless got any big problem one...coz they charge and we r free labour...hahaha...ok lar...coz our application is mostly deal with the transactions, so we need to be there to support our a little unstable system. I asked him...he said...that person called my manager lor then my manager called me to come down...walao...really KiaSi person sia...really buay tahan...

Ouch my tooth...

Yeah...today visited my dentist to fill up that god-d***n tooth that is hurting me for like the past few weeks... Waited for 1 hr before my turn... Yeah this dentist is hot property... Q like siaoz... Finally my turn...went in and sat on the "chair" dentist start to fill my tooth...nt that painful as washing but it seems like major op lydat...1 dentist and 1 helper stood b4 me... Both of them hands full of dental equipments...Finally filled ok ler....but dentist tell me that I should extract my wisdom teeth at the lower jaw liaoz...else other teeth are going to face the same problem too...1 wisdom tooth...$250...Oh My God...but good thing is 1 week leave...hahaha...still deciding to do it anot...No wisdom tooth = Not wise...wahahahaha...Anyway for the next few days I will be using 1 side to bite my food...cannot afford to go filling again...xiong also...

Ruined Thursday

Thursday is actually a day that I kinda look forward to...mainly because of 2 reasons, I am having a meeting with the bank's users. The meeting is one of those that is not filled with gunpowder...There are just some meetings that u can blow ur top easily becoz it is so filled with 火藥味 especially with that a*****e there. Well today meeting is nt really something I looked forward too...yes...that person is sitting in and the "best" thing is...he will sit in for all the future sessions...OH MY GOD!!! Someone give me a knife...either I will stab him or I use it on my ownself...There goes my weekly meeting...haiz...

Well...the only thing that is making me happy every thursday is Bleach!!! Every week just for this man...Very nice...looking forward every week's episode...Haha...

My hospital checkup today...
At 9+, I got a missed call...dunnoe from who...coz driving...never check HP.
Reached hospital, first thing to check my HP who called...Strange...it is Banana, one of my colleagues and good friend. She seldom calls me...so I tot maybe she call up the wrong contact bah.
At 10+, another call came while I am waiting for my consultation. Checked the caller ID...hmmm...it is Banana again...strange...twice liaoz...so I picked up the call...

Banana : Hihi, sorry to disturb you while you are on leave.
Me : It's ok. You looking for me?
Banana : Yeah. Do you have Dory's house number? Coz she is missing, she din come to the bank with the rest of us.
Me : *pause* Yeah I think I have. You all tried her moblie liaoz?
Banana : Yeah, cannot get her either. Can you sms me her house number?
Me : Oh...ok...

Very worried abt dory...worried something bad may have happened coz she is not those irresponsible type of person. Couldn't put my HP away...waiting for news whether they managed to call her anot...After a long and gruelling 10 min, I received an sms from Banana that Dory is ok...juz overslept coz her HP low batt and so the alarm did not go off...Now then, I am relieved...*phew*

Lunch with Han Jie

First lunch with Han Jie today after he left our company and it is only the 2nd day since he left. Actually, I also missed the days of having lunch with him and Spacey, where we will crack those cold jokes...

Anyways, today's lunch is filled with laughter with Han Jie teasing Spacey a lot and got to know that he is enjoying life in his new company is a comforting news to us. After lunch, my tooth hurts like hell...the one that I visit the dentist last Saturday. Gan Ma advised me to go see dentist tonight, so I did...

Waited at the dentist until 8.30 then my turn...then dentist in the end say the medicine is still intact. Might be the "debris" from Saturday that is making me feel the pain. But he advised me to extract the tooth rather than filling it again coz it is causing so much pain liaoz...So haf to see what choice i made this sat lor...Extract or fill...anyways...tml is hospital check-up...hopefully everything remains good as last yr.

OT...

Haha...seems like monday has sort of become an OT day for me liaoz...
Today OT-ed again...Have some desserts with the fire fighting team...
9pm...run home...hope next mon wun OT again...must break taboo...

MSN

Been MSN-ing the whole afternoon with one of the team members whom had been called back to do work yesterday...Seems like morale is a little bit low, but the team is hanging in there...Really hope the fire will be put down soon and everything return to normal. These few weeks had been very tense for our department. Resource going and reallocated. Everyone is so tight-up now. A little spark will just spark a resource "leakage".

Dentist...

Dental day today...Woke up at 10+...Had a light breakfast before heading to my dentist appointment in Ang Mo Kio...Arrived at the dentist at abt 11...Long queue...Ard 12+ then reach my turn...Told dentist filling has pain...Dentist said got crack, so she took out the filling and applied medicine for me, instructing me to go back after 1 week to refill the hole in my tooth...

After dental, got an urge to go Temple pray pray coz I think quite long never go pray pray ler...Recently, a little 不順 also, so better go pray pray to 保佑 me that I can smoothly change project, stay healthy and hope that the team that is called back today will safely extinguish the big forrest fire.

After pray pray, went to Thomson Plaza for a should massage before going for my lunch at ard 3pm and then headed for home liaoz...haa

Ya...today is Tho's last day in my company...It seems like yesterday when we are still at UOB doing fire-fighting with Meng Chain, 阿陳 and Spacey on Ling-er's wedding day. I am very happy to have the chance to work with you...The same goes to Atan and Spacey. Still remember abt the joke on Spacey's "岳父"? Those were the good days where 4 of us used to haf a lot of fun along with Aixuan. Now, Atan and u both gone liaoz...only left Spacey with me liaoz...Yaya...I know...people come and go...Anywayz, I wish u all the best in your new career and meet us often for lunch...

Black Thursday

I know some of you may find it strange why I put the title as Black Thursday because it is very common to see Black Monday but not Black Thursday. Well, since it is black, that explains it all. Today can say is quite a suay day for me.

Today is the first day without my Project Manager whom has gone to Canada for his holiday. Standing in is our "zai" consultant, Alvis. He went along with me and Mark-ge to this afternoon's meeting at UOB. The meeting is quite a friendly session meeting as usual coz the a*****e did not attend such meetings and I hope he NEVER will. Erm...I think not only me, so does the other people also. We even joked that if he really attended, we will just say meeting has finished...What a "good" reputation this person has built.

Well, the meeting ended smoothly and taking a look at my HP, I noticed that it is already 6.30pm and that UOB wanna me to login and test the system after they restart their servers at around 7.30pm...Oh no...1 hour how to reach home? So I decided to go back to office to do the login since I am quite confident that the person doing the restart is very capable. Haha...ok lar...not only becos of login, but also to check out how she and her teammates are still in office coping with the "forest fire". Happily, I reach office at 7pm sharp. Not to my surprise, they are in the office. Seeing her charger hanging at my power socket (coz b4 meeting, I borrowed it to charge my HP), I plug it out and return it to her along with the pen which I borrowed from her too...She jokingly, say...

Her : Next time must charge u liao...
Me : I never hear anything...
Her : KNS!
Me : Walao...Must be learn from H***l one...When I help u that time (in my project) u never say anything also, now little thing then say I KNS...
Her : I in (the project) for so little time!!! (of coz u muz help me lar)
Me :

Maybe I am too sensitive bah...but I think that word coming out from her mouth hurts me too much. I will not say I put in a lot of effort on her but at least there is effort. KNS coming out frm her makes all the effort spent on her wiped off just lydat...Super hurt...

Angles...

I still remember people told me before...Things can take different form when viewed from different angles. I think one of it is life...every stage of life must be viewed from different angle. When you are still a student, your angle revolves main on studies. When you go out to work, things got complicated, so your angle needs to be adjusted to things like finance, relationship with colleagues and so on. To me, I need an angle where I can cover a lot of things...Still remember a friend forwarded me an email...At this age, we are prone to quarter-life crisis where our goals get blurred, lost interest in a lot of things...

Gone...today is "Auntie" Fiona's last day. She is a prototypist in my company. With her leaving and Hazel joining Operations, the only prototypist left is "Gan Ma" liao...Think the heat is going to be on her ler...But she got us, 2 filial "sons" behind her supporting, any heat, we will cool it down for her...hehehe...Think we will miss Fiona bah...coz we always tease her a lot during lunch time and she really can act cute sometimes, then Yong will imitate her and we all will be laughing until pengz...Anyway, Fiona, if u got read my blog, hope that u will be happier in ur new job and enjoy ur 1 mth as "tai tai". Muz pass us the bargaining skill once u perfected it on the fishmonger in the wet market wor...Muahahahaha...

Birthday...today is Kim's birthday...She is supposedly on leave today, but the "fire" is damn big until she is still working. Yesterday, she is supposedly on MC but also end up doing work in office...Feel quite sad for her, dunnoe what I can do to make her feel better also...she has been a very good friend to me and it really pains me to see her like that. All I can do is to rush her home to rest and remember to have her meals and also not forgetting my forte...a listening ear...Resource also has been reshuffled to help her out and I hope that it will help her to put down the "fire". Kim, if u also got read my blog, pls remember to take ur meals regularly n dun tire urself out. There is always a limit as to how much 1 person can handle also.

Treat...Got a dinner treat from Yong's "lao po" at Hans just now. Very long time never see her liao...Think since the ops outing in the middle of last yr bah...Yong and her really got more and more "fu qi xiang" ler...Well, it is good to know that she is doing well in her 1st job and enjoying it. Felt bad juz now also that me n jy keep toking abt our work and din speak to her much also...Anyway, hope Yong and her "zhong chen juan shu" soon...so do Yi Li Mi...haha...guess who is Yi Li Mi bah...wahahaha

又痛又恨

OT-ing today...but happy becoz she is OT-ing too...I have dinner at Lau Pa Sat while she has dessert...9 pm we left together...She wanna call a cab but somehow she cannot get one, so one female colleague whom OT-ed wif us ask her to hitch a ride home with me. After much persuasion by the female colleague, she agreed...Super happy der but then tot of my mother again...she has been following me to work n back from work. What will she know if my mum is in the car also...So I told her abt my mum...she immediately tried to call cab again...coz she become paiseh...kaoz...now my mum "ruin" it for me...makes me wonder how come she felt so unsafe for me to drive alone...I already drove from UOB to home at 1am alone liao...what is she afraid of? I really dunnoe...maybe someday I should sit down and tell her nicely that I am old enuff liao...can handle the car on my own...stop following me pls...Actually i like the feel of drving alone...Haiz...in the end, she managed to get a cab and I waited with her for the cab before I leave...Throughout the journey home and at home, felt the anguish inside me that I cannot leave the clutches of my mum...I really like to send her home today...REALLY!!!

Manager down...but good day...

Project manager is down on diahorrea...But got a meeting later with the users. Manager asked me if I can handle them alone...I said if the users are alright with you not around in the meeting, I am ok with it...Anyway, I will be bringing the person taking over me to go to the meeting too, so I am nt alone too. Just that I will be the only one toking bah...Got a little worried of meeting the users as I am a little ill-prepared due to the recent involvment in several issues. But in the end, everything turns out to be just fine...Really is my day today...hahaha...Managed to ease the workload on our side by asking the users for some info. Well, every bit of time counts now given the tight resources I have on hand. Headache also...juggling between high expectations from users and training my resources...

Today, ate with her during lunch...forgot she dun like pork and bean sprouts...in end, her ramen left nuting except some bamboo shoots and egg...so when she passed me the pork and bean sprouts, I passed her my egg and fish cake...Happy lunch...hehehe

对牛谈情

Bad day today...went to UOB to explain some findings to their IT department with regards to some issues encountered last thursday which requires the activation of almost the whole team...There are 3 ppl represented by their IT department. I explained once...2 get it but the "head" somehow keep rejecting the explanation to go into his head...duh...really 对牛谈情...A findings meeting became a heated argument between him and us. Really stupid a*****e to work with...Anyway he is getting to everyone's nerves, even his ppl also the same. Sianz...

Lijiao Jie Jie's Wedding

Today is Lijiao Jie Jie's wedding. Ok...some history on her...She started coming to my house for tution even before I went to primary school bah...She is one of the very first batch of students whom come up to my house for tuition. Together with her are Baohui Jie Jie, Yanling Jie Jie, Xiuyun Jie Jie and Xiu Li Jie Jie. Lijiao Jie Jie is considered the best student ever in my mother's tution career because her results were quite amazing...so is her career, she has worked from sales assistant to air stewardess to auditor...can say she basically got try a lot of level of job scope.

Ok so much for history...today her wedding dinner is at Orchid Country Club...dishes came a little slow at first, so in the end need to rush the dishes...Dinner ended at 11+ bah...Dishes are nt that bad...

Lastly, congrats on Lijiao Jie Jie on her marriage and hope that she and her hubby have a blissful marriage life and zhao sheng gui zi...hehehe

Long time no Blog...

Just realized that I have not blogged for nearly 2 weeks already!!! No wonder ppl reading my blog is getting lesser by each week. Hopefully, I can be back on track to writing again.

The reason why I have not blogged for so long is coz of Spacey lor...haha...dun think "wai wai" hor...He introduced us (Tho, 阿陳, PK) an online game called 9Dragons. It has different clans with different kung-fu, like Wu Tang has Wu Tang Sword Play, Taichi Fist. So all of us are busy leveling up to get all the different kung-fu. But me a little lazy...keep playing and nt writing blog...haha...dun blame me wor...If ever anyone of u whom read my blog is playing, u can go and find me. (AnGongZi) Provided u are the good guys...hahaha

Ok...back to reality...a few of my colleagues has tendered their resignation letter...Think up to today, there are 4 who has done so just this month!!! 2 already left and 2 are in their final notice period. 1 of those in their final notice is Tho and 1 whom has left is the chio bu who sometimes featured in my blog...Emily. Feel kinda sad that they are leaving but all this is part of working life. People come and go. I sincerely hope that all of them will find what they are looking for in their new jobs and keep in touch with me. Speaking of people who has left my company, there are 2 people who haven meet us yet since they left. 阿陳 and Ling-er, let's try to meet up leh...Toking abt meet-up...eks...I haven even jio the ppl to go out with Aixuan yet...jialat...Gotta try to arrange next week...

As for work...remains the same...just that this week there is a Severity 1 issue which needs our attention immediately and so nice it falls on the day we are having dinner celebration for another project's successful launch...Lottery also not so zhun lor...So 9pm gotta rush to client's place and we stayed there until 1am in the morning...
Recently, 2 options for me to ponder on...to go another project and know more about other project or go to design the product for the project that I am doing now...Initially, very interested in the product thingy...but the solution architect really cannot make it and I think my company is nt interested in developing the product also. So 2 days ago, I decided to go another project and help Yong out. Dunnoe if it is right choice or not...Time will show...maybe in the near future, I may just follow the steps that Tho, 阿陳 and Ling-er took. Till then, we shall see...
