Eventful 19th Aug 2006 Episode 3

Just when u r thinking this is the final episode like Lord Of the Rings Trilogy or Matrix Trilogy, u r wrong man!!! My episode 3 is not the last of this series...and Tombyong will reveal the "truth" in the next episode which is the LAST of the series...muahahahaha...

The chi wa wa is really super duper small, think can fit into pocket also...Acutally my first time seeing a chi wa wa also...other times i only see pictures of them...Toking abt pictures...below are some pics we took during the outing...

Too bad i did not capture the "truth" for this series...Anyway, after the chi wa wa is gone...we met 2 person...1 guy and 1 gal...rollerblading away from the direction of BBQ pit 28 and onwards...lucky not towards BBQ pit 18...else our blog-series will have nuting to write ler...right, Tombyong? Eventful 19th Aug 2006 Episode 1

Well 19th August started off as a bad day for me...Supposed to be a busy one coz got 3 functions to attend to and my family had not decided to go or not to go, so an argument started as we cannot decide to go in how many vehicles...My daddy wanna fetch my grandma and his sisters one, then my mum wanna go with my brother and I dun wanna attend the first function, which means I need to find my own way to East Coast for my 2nd function. If lydat, means my hse's 2 Sunny(s) and van need to all in action...So finally, all of us come to a consencus and we all decided to go via my bro's Sunny...

So, in the afternoon ard 3.30pm bah, reach the 1st function at Hougang, 满月 buffet of my cousin's daughter...then at ard 4pm, heard someone at the void deck shouted...打抢！！！ We wanna give chase but we are upstairs so nt really much help by the time we reach there...

Then, 4.30pm, we set off to my 2nd function, my company's department bbq at east coast...Meeting some of the guys there at 5pm for soccer session...mainly consists of Junyong, Han Jie, Space, Mark and Alvis. Met Han Jie, Space and Junyong(& wife) at Mac...then we proceed to our bbq site...but after walking abt 10 min, seeing a lot of couples, tents and doggies on our way and Junyong is asking me...Oi, what is the breed of that dog har? As if i am a doggie expert...hahaha...Then we saw the first number of the BBQ site...NUMBER 28...Next...NUMBER 29!!! OH NO!!! We are at the wrong end!!!

Just when we were abt to turn and head for the other end....we saw something...pls tune in at Junyong's blog for update...

What is happening to me???

Today spells a bad day for me bah...Nothing seems to be in the right direction for me...Wake up to a bad dream and my whole shirt is wet with cold sweat even though my bedroom is air-conditioned. My nerves then got very jumpy throughout the day. Every little thing seems to get to me...feels like a volcano gonna erupt...Words like schedules, merging, build release, users, issues, testing, mistakes all going through my mind...As I needed HQ's network to do some rectification on my project's repository, I took my laptop over there to do it. Gone to Mr Papaya there to borrow network. Found that a lot of seats are empty because all have gone to client side. Settled down on my "old" seat, just beside him. Sitting beside him brings back the old days where we will joke a lot with each other and just sit there munching on tidbits. The only difference, both of us are busier ler but he is still more busy than me bah...Suddenly, I felt more relaxed ler...dun ask me why, I also dunnoe...maybe it is the strong friendship that he and me have...The kind of bonding that takes years to form...With no spoken words, he know what I am feeling...Great to have a friend like him...Wonder whether I am able to find anyone as true as him in the future...

Colleagues back from overseas...

Yesterday marks the return on 3 of my colleagues from overseas.

After 4 days of biz trip in Beijing, Mr Papaya is finally back. Din bring me any gift somemore...hahaha...at least some peking duck bah...hahaha...kidding onli lar...know u go on biz trip, nt holiday...

2 more colleagues also returned from their 2-week stint in Indonesia. Haha...but they are better to me...Got bring little gift back from Indonesia for me...very thoughtful of them...Well last time they went to Indonesia, they also got something for me but it sort of breaks when the clumsy me dropped my car keys on the floor...Din take a picture of it to keep for memory though, so this time I learnt to be smart this time...got a picture of the gift juz in case something unfortunate happens to it again...They got me a HP accessory with my name on it...Sad thing is, my HP no slot to hang it!!! So duh...

Haha...see my bro's son (aka nephew) picture in the folder also, so decide to share his cute little face with u all :P ...isn't he cute???

Out of Office at 6pm sharp...

Last Tuesday evening, our office lights began to flicker. At first thought is one light bulb blown ler, but in the end we tried to take out those flickering light bulbs. We took out one then the other start to flicker, so we almost took out all the light bulbs...but when we took out abt 50% of the bulbs, we then found out the flickering will 'jump' from 1 bulb to another...so we came to a conclusion that something is wrong with the electricity. We then fixed all the bulbs back and turned all the lights on...SUDDENLY...all the lights started to flicker just like those horror shows and then all the lights just go off!!! Along with that, my laptop also gone black screen...so suay...

Today morning, got the building's technician to come in...After some checking, he said he will bring in an electrician to see how bad the situation is...After a while, the electrician came in and say that one of our wires had melted and might caused fire...At first, he told us he will need to off the whole lvl's electricity to fix the wire but as usual the problem is not that simple. The wire melted is somehow connected to the whole building's electricity, so need to off the whole building's electricity...We notified the tenor and the tenor informed the tenants that electricity will be cut at 6pm, so all of us are forced to go by 6pm.

HAHAHA...first time i left ofc on time...and able to see the 夕阳...Anyway, tml is friday ler...looking fwd to weekend...hehehe

Creepy fact...the day the lights went out is 农历七月初十五...Coincidental or Superstitious...make ur own judgement...

August 9 - National Day

August 9 2006 is Singapore 41st National Day...For me, it is home alone day until night bah, practically has the whole hse by myself...Mum and Dad gone into Malaysia to go to my uncle's fruit plantation to collect the new breed of durians called the "197"...Dun ask me why they call it that name...but the durian not bad...a lot of 肉, then seed small small...

Boring national day...stay at home and do nothing...but got something i am very proud of when i am watching the National Day Parade...that is Deyi (my secondary school) Military Band has their first ever solo performance in National Day Parade!!! So Cool man!!! Reminds me of the days where i used to look out from my classroom windows and look at their rehearsal on the formation and how the 'lead' rehearse on throwing the staff up into the air...so niceeee...actually during my sec 3 and 4 days, my class has quite a few military band members...one of them is the Chairman of Military Band...What they have achieved today is not done in one day but is the sweat put in by everyone including the seniors...At last, Deyi has one good thing that can be well-known of instead of the bad aspects...

National Day holiday somehow seem like a weekend to me...think that my subconscious is hoping for this week to end faster...maybe there is something that i am looking forward to next week...

Ma La Steamboat Session

Met up Jeremy and Grace, the model couple (both of them are ex-colleagues) from my company. Went to a Ma La Steamboat store at Beach Road...as usual, i shall not say the name out coz no advertising fee...haha, anyone interested can jio me go but u have to 'blang jia' me...The food there is still average compared to the other store that i went wif my other colleagues last time but i thoroughly enjoyed myself because i am accompanied by my very good friends...How time flies...all of them have known me for at least 2 yrs liaoz...Only Junyong has known me for 4 yrs le bah...hahaha...The session was filled with lots of laughter because i made some very 'hum sup' comment and recapped all the good times that Junyong and me shared with Jeremy. One of it is frm the re-recorded version of Star Wars where Darth Vader told Luke to go over to the Dark Side...Translation from ang moh to hokkien : Ge lai orh orh zi peng...Seeing Jeremy really bring up a lot of nice memory of the times when we are together in the office...Things like those jokes and how he helped me during the 1 yr plus...I know that i should not be looking back at old memories but I juz cannot helped it...Actually, I am very grateful to all the ppl who were present at the session because they have contributed to my growth as a person, be it on a personal or work. Think next time, i should start organising rather than always let Grace do the honours...
